Chords
Chords are commonly used on keyboard and guitar. Normal jazz keyboardist use their left hand to play chords as their right hand plays more of a melodic or harmonic line.
Don't confuse chords with having the same notes as the respective scale. They can be different.
Dominant chord is the 7th flatted
- CMajor - C E G Bb C
Minor chord has a flattened 3rd. If it contains a 7th that is usually flat
- Cm - C Eb G Bb C
The early Greeks devised scales which had only four notes (tones). These scales were called TetraChords. The word "Tetra" means four. The tetrachord progression of ascending tones is: WWH (whole, whole, half step). Thus there is one full step between the first and second note, one full step between the second and third note, and a half step between the third and fourth note.

You can do an example by selecting a starting note (C or F# or Ab or any other note) and making sure the next note up is based on the WWH method.
